We’re excited to announce that the Chicago Flower & Garden Show has a new presenting sponsor: Mariano’s, the Chicago area’s unique new grocery experience.
Mariano’s was a sponsor of the show in 2013, and we’re excited to have them back for this new partnership, which will bring fresh features to the 2014 show.
Mariano’s will present the Garden Gourmet cooking stage, where top Chicago-area chefs show you how to make delicious dishes with ingredients from your garden. Mariano’s also has plans to create an expanded floral market as part of the show’s Marketplace, where you can purchase fresh flowers as well as gardening and greening products.
The partnership will also benefit the Chicagoland community. Mariano’s is teaming up with another show partner, the Peterson Garden Project—an urban gardening not-for-profit committed to teaching people to grow their own food. Mariano’s will be supporting the Peterson Garden Project’s 2014 Grow2Give™ program, where at least five percent of the harvests from the project’s nine community sites are donated to local food pantries and nutrition programs. The Grow2Give program will help more than 3,800 pounds of fresh food make their way to community members in need—thank you to Mariano’s and the Peterson Garden Project for making this happen!
