Tiny Tavern Chef de cuisine, Vanessa Velazquez realized her passion for cooking after volunteering at her local food bank. She immediately took a leap into the world of culinary arts, where she studied and graduate from The Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio in 2011. After relocating to one of the biggest cities in North America, Vanessa made a home on the broad shoulders of the “Windy City”. Chicago is where Vanessa has expanded her craft and become an integral part of the ever growing Tiny Lounge legacy. Vanessa’s philosophy is to create a holistic environment starting with the team and ending with the most important part, the cuisine.
