Tony Fulmer

Biography

Tony Fulmer is a graduate with honors from the University of Illinois and has his bachelor of science degree in ornamental horticulture. He is a member of Pi Alpha Xi honorary horticulture fraternity. Tony started at Chalet, Wilmette, Ill., in 1987 as nursery manager and became retail manager in 1998. In 2013, a new position was created and he became Chalet’s chief horticulture officer. Tony is an Illinois Certified Nursery Professional. In 2000, he was honored as ICN Professional of the Year. Tony is a regular gardening expert appearing on the WGN Midday News. He is a frequent guest on Chicago television, as well as several WGN Radio programs. Tony is a presenter for Chalet’s lecture series and has lectured previously in the Chicago Flower & Garden Show’s Seminar Series. He has written or been cited in numerous articles for print, including Fine Gardening magazine, and assumed authorship of Chalet’s blog, The Hortiholic (www.hortiholic.com) in 2013. Tony has been gardening for more than 50 years, and learning from his clients for that long, too.
