BAYLOR CHAPMAN PLANT DESIGNER, OWNER, LILA B DESIGN AND AUTHOR, DECORATING WITH PLANTS AND THE PLANT RECIPE BOOK
Baylor Chapman loves working with plants so much that she has spent more than 15 years surrounding herself with them. She attended the UC Berkeley extension program for garden design, founded Lila B., a San Francisco green-certified plant and flower design business, and built a parking lot garden in the middle of a big city. In the spring of 2014 she published The Plant Recipe Book (Artisan). Her next book is Decorating with Plants: What to Choose, Ways to Style, and How to Make Them Thrive, to be released by Artisan in April, 2019. Her work has also appeared in Sunset Magazine, Good Housekeeping, and Better Homes & Gardens. She has been a guest on PBS’ “Growing a Greener World TV” and a DIY expert on HGTV.com and Houzz.com. For Baylor, it all comes back to the idea that even if you have a really small space, you can bring a little bit of green inside. Whether it is an elaborate living centerpiece or tiny single succulent, through plant design you can make any space feel at home.
