Ahmed Hassan

At the age of 10, Ahmed discovered his love of gardening and working outdoors.  To many, mowing lawns, trimming shrubs and stacking wood would be considered mundane chores.  Not to Ahmed.  Each completed task moved him closer to his purpose in life: Teaching others the importance of hard work and how to creatively co-exist with nature.  Ahmed’s love of landscaping paved the way to a successful career as one of today’s most sought after celebrity landscapers and green experts.

With his television debut in 2000, Hassan is best known as the original host of DIY Network’s “Yard Crashers.”  Following a series of hosting stints for numerous DIY Network television shows including, “The Dirt On…,” “Green Me Up,” and “Blog Cabin,” the network created Yard Crashers to showcase Ahmed’s high energy, motivational spirit and love for everything green.

Millions of viewers, charmed by his engaging personality and unique style of education and entertainment have identified Ahmed as a Landscape and Design Superstar.  In September 2011, The Nate Berkus Show unveiled Ahmed’s work as lead design consultant for Monica “Warrior Mom” Jorge’s house.  He co-hosted HGTV’s live coverage of the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade.  He has served as guest contributor for the CBS Early Show and NBC’s Today Show.  He is a guest columnist for several publications including HGTV magazine.

Ahmed Hassan is an accredited landscape Design/Build, Contractor, Home Improvement Salesperson and Certified Landscape Maintenance Technician.  He owns Ahmad Hassan Landscape Services, a full service landscape company.  He has collaborated and worked on several landscape and construction projects throughout the country.

The California native hails from The San Francisco East Bay area.  He attributes his success to the support and spiritual philosophy of his blended family.  His entrepreneurial parents taught him the value of dreaming big and creating a business with the work you enjoy most.  His rural roots, mixed with inner city upbringing, have given Ahmed a unique ability to relate to people from all walks of life.  The connective thread through each stage of his life remains Problem Solving, Construction and Landscaping.  “Creating beautiful spaces outdoors is what I do!” says Ahmed.

Ahmed, his wife and three children currently reside in Northern California.
