Santa Fe Brick and Concrete Patios, along with Wyld Creek Water Gardens, will be constructing a garden with a theme of a “Leap into Spring” after the children’s book ( “The Frog and The Toad Are Friends” by author Arnold Lobel ). The garden will consist of an outdoor living area, a large raised garden area, a fish feeding area, fire bowl and a large umbrella. Our patio, gardens and our water features will be beautifully illuminated by state of the art of LED landscape lighting.
There will be a pond with beautiful koi, cascading waterfalls, beautiful aquatic planter gardens and a variety of water features for all to enjoy and to get everyone ready for spring.
Our Garden area will consist of beautiful and fragrant flowers and a walking area to smell the roses. There will be frog and toad houses throughout the garden area. You must find and decide which house our friends live in.
For those given a second chance at life or the gift of sight through organ, eye, and tissue donation, this garden has even greater significance. Your journey through the garden will inspire as you read heart-warming testimonials from transplant recipients and donor families.
Eversight is a charitable, not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to restore sight and prevent blindness through the healing power of donation, transplantation and research. Our network of community based eye banks – in Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey and Ohio – recovers, evaluates and provides human eye tissue for transplantation; supports research into the causes and cures of blinding eye conditions; promotes donation awareness through public and professional education; and provides humanitarian aid to people around the world in need of sight-restoring services.
Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is a not-for-profit organ procurement organization that coordinates organ and tissue donation and provides public education on donation in Illinois and northwest Indiana. As one of 58 OPOs that make up the nation’s donation system, we work with 180 hospitals and serve 12 million people in our donation service area. Since 1986, we have saved the lives of more than 23,000 organ transplant recipients and improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of tissue transplant recipients through our efforts.
The mission of the Secretary of State’s Organ/Tissue Donor Program is to strengthen Illinois’ Organ/Tissue Donor Registry through outreach and registration initiatives.
Presently, Illinois has one of the most successful state registries in the country with more than 6 million participants. More than 50 percent of those who visit a Driver Services facility join the Illinois Organ/Tissue Donor Registry.
Currently, 4700 people in Illinois are on the waiting list for an organ/tissue transplant. More than 300 Illinoisans die each year waiting for an organ transplant. Up to 25 people can benefit from a single donor. For more information or to join the registry, please visit www.lifegoeson.com.
